I hope this note finds you enjoying a rare day of Portland sunshine!

It's almost election time -- voter guides appeared in our mailboxes this week and ballots are coming May 2nd.

I am supporting Nick Fish for Portland City Council seat #2, formerly occupied by Erik Sten. Nick is a neighbor and a friend, and an old-fashioned candidate, who is running because he feels called to public service. Nick is a civil rights attorney who has shown leadership in support of our schools, affordable housing, and the Women's Crisis Line. I am supporting him because he's smart on the issues, and because he truly cares about the people of Portland.

Many Portlanders don't even realize that there are 4 contested seats on the City Council -- we have an historic opportunity for new leadership!
